    • If the vent hose is rigid, you may need to unscrew it from the wall or dryer using a screwdriver.
  4. Inspect the Vent Hose:

    • Check the vent hose for any signs of damage, such as holes, tears, or kinks. Replace the vent hose if it is damaged.
  5. Clean the Vent Hose:

    • You can also use a dryer vent brush or cleaning kit to clean the inside of the vent hose.
  6. Inspect the Dryer Vent Opening:

    • Check the dryer vent opening on the outside of your home for any obstructions, such as lint buildup or debris.
    • Remove any obstructions using a vacuum cleaner or by hand.
  7. Clean the Dryer Vent Opening:

    • Use a vacuum cleaner or dryer vent brush to clean the inside of the dryer vent opening.
  8. Reconnect the Vent Hose:

    • Reconnect the vent hose to the dryer's exhaust port and secure it with the clamp.
    • If the vent hose is rigid, make sure it is securely attached to the wall or dryer.
  9. Secure the Vent Hose:

    • Use duct tape to secure any loose sections of the vent hose to prevent leaks or disconnects.
  10. Move the Dryer Back:

    • Carefully move the dryer back into place, ensuring that the vent hose is not crushed or kinked.
  11. Plug In the Dryer:

    • Plug the dryer back into the power outlet and turn it on to test the venting system.
