LOW BAR CHORALE
May 8-22
You show up at a bar or music venue. You grab a drink, and within minutes, you’re singing the hell out of your favorite rock song with a hundred other folks and — wait for it — a live band of nationally known musicians. In three-part harmony, no less. Wait, what just happened? Welcome to the Low Bar Chorale and what we all not-so-secretly wish singing could be. Drop-in only: no auditions, rehearsals or commitments ever. Sing rock, alt-indie and pop music like Bowie, Lady Gaga, Yacht Rock, or Michael Kiwanuka. With an incredible band, that has performed with some amazing acts — Built To Spill, Portugal. The Man, Storm Large, and others. The best thing is that ANYONE CAN DO THIS. No prior musical experience is required. Just show up with your love of music and an open mind, and you’re guaranteed to sound great. So if this sounds like something you’d love, what are you waiting for?

RUMORS
Until May 24
When they gather to celebrate a tenth wedding anniversary, four New York power couples experience a severe attack of Farce.
Immerse yourself at a large, tastefully-appointed Sneden’s Landing townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though it’s only a flesh wound, Charlie Brock’s self-inflicted injury sets off a series of events causing four couples to try and cover-up and hide the potential damage to his reputation, and naturally, hilarity ensues!
STORY: Charlie and Myra plan to celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary at their beautiful home in the company of eight dear friends. But when their tuxedo-and-designer-gown-clad guests arrive, they find the house empty, piles of uncooked food in the kitchen — but Charlie and Myra nowhere in sight. The hungry, angry and totally befuddled guests drown in speculation as to the reason for what is happening (or not happening). But as, in the face of all the odd circumstances, they try to preserve at least a bit of their cool and dignity, they actually become entangled in increasingly bizarre situations which they cannot comprehend.
Rumors is a riotous farce by beloved Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Neil Simon that comedically explores the idea that you can get away with anything if you are a good enough liar and the damage that rumors can inflict on their victims. The play has been called “the first no-holds-barred farce of his career.”
An all ages show.
