Deep dives into the places we serve
Area Guides are our in-depth look at the towns and neighborhoods we work in every day. Each guide covers what a place is really like to live in: its character, its neighborhoods, its schools and parks, the employers that anchor it, where locals actually eat, and the best ways to spend a weekend. We started with Beaverton, Oregon, home of our office at 9245 SW Nimbus Ave, and we have now added Hillsboro, the heart of Washington County's Silicon Forest; Sherwood, the family-friendly town on 99W; Cornelius, Oregon's Family Town on the Tualatin Valley Highway; Forest Grove, the genuine college town at the western edge of the valley; and Newberg, the gateway to Oregon wine country at the north end of the Willamette Valley. And we have opened a Portland hub, where we are building out guides to the city's districts and neighborhoods one sub-area at a time. We have also added Wilsonville, the fast-growing gateway to the Willamette Valley at the southern edge of the metro, and most recently Oregon City, the end of the Oregon Trail and the oldest city west of the Rockies, at the base of Willamette Falls in Clackamas County. And now we have added Lake Oswego, the affluent lakeside city south of Portland known for Oswego Lake, its walkable downtown, and the top-ranked Lake Oswego School District. And we have just added West Linn, the wooded river town on the Willamette across from Lake Oswego, known for top-rated West Linn-Wilsonville schools, the historic Willamette district, and views of Mount Hood. And now we have added Clackamas, the commercial heart of Clackamas County, home of the Clackamas Town Center and one of the region's largest collections of restaurants, at the crossroads of I-205, OR-212, OR-213, and OR-224. And now we have added Gresham, Oregon's fourth-largest city and the second-largest in the Portland metro, a diverse, family-oriented community in eastern Multnomah County with MAX light rail into Portland and the Columbia River Gorge and Mount Hood at its back. And now we have added Troutdale, the Gateway to the Gorge, a river town on the Sandy and Columbia rivers at the western end of the Historic Columbia River Highway, with affordable homes, an easy I-84 commute, and Mount Hood and the Columbia River Gorge right up the road.

A listing photo tells you what a house looks like. An Area Guide tells you what it is like to live there. We write these guides the way we counsel clients in person: honestly, concretely, and with the details that actually shape daily life, from the school boundary to the Saturday market to the commute you will make twice a day.
We live and work in this region, and our office sits in Beaverton. That means the guides are written from local knowledge, not from a data sheet, and they will be updated as neighborhoods, employers, and restaurants change. If you are comparing towns, start here, then call us and we will fill in the rest.
